Debevoise Expands Private Capital Platform with Addition of Private Equity M&A Partners Neal J. Reenan and Ian Bushner

EmitenTrust.com NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced today that Neal J. Reenan and Ian Bushner have joined the firm as partners in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York, expanding the firm's deep private equity M&A bench.

Their arrival marks another significant step in the firm's continued investment in its private capital platform, following the recent additions of partners Mary Lavelle, Karen Chao, Zahra Sowder and Andrea Hwang. With the addition of Mr. Reenan and Mr. Bushner, Debevoise has more lawyers recognized by Chambers for Private Equity: Buyouts in New York than any other firm.

Mr. Reenan and Mr. Bushner advise private equity firms and their portfolio companies on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. Their experience includes buyouts, take-private transactions, carve-outs, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, minority investments, strategic investments and spin-offs across a wide range of industries. Before joining Debevoise, they served as leaders in the private capital practice at another international law firm.

Mr. Bushner received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School in 2009 and his B.A., with honors, from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006.
