EmitenTrust.com Experienced transplant diagnostics entrepreneur adds strategic backing and industry guidance to Immunomatics and its AI-based approach to transplant donor risk assessment

SAN MARCOS, Calif., Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Immunomatics, Inc., a healthtech company developing AI-based tools to improve transplant donor-recipient risk assessment, today announced a $100,000 strategic investment from Myosotis Investments B.V., a Netherlands-based life sciences investment firm founded by biotech entrepreneur Wietse Mulder, PhD. Mulder has also joined Immunomatics as Strategic Advisor.

The investment and advisory role are strategically significant to Immunomatics, given Mulder's experience in HLA and transplantation. He co-founded GenDx, a global leader in transplant diagnostics acquired by Eurobio Scientific in 2022. As Strategic Advisor, Mulder will leverage his experience to guide Immunomatics as it validates its technology and prepares for commercialization.

"Wietse spent nearly two decades building a globally recognized company in HLA and transplant diagnostics," said Lidio Meireles, PhD, founder and CEO of Immunomatics. "He understands the science, the clinical environment, and what it takes to bring new transplant technologies to market. Having someone with that experience invest in Immunomatics and join us as a strategic advisor is a tremendous validation of the opportunity we are pursuing."

"Immunomatics is addressing an important challenge in transplantation: how to make better use of increasingly complex biological and clinical information when assessing donor-recipient compatibility," said Wietse Mulder, PhD, founder of Myosotis Investments. "Lidio brings a rare combination of computational expertise, scientific understanding, and personal experience as a transplant recipient. I believe there is a significant opportunity to develop better predictive tools that can support transplant medicine, and I am pleased to support Immunomatics as both an investor and strategic advisor as it advances this work."

Immunomatics is developing AI to improve transplant compatibility assessment beyond counting HLA mismatches. Using outcomes data, HLA typing, and machine learning, it aims to better estimate donor-recipient risks and support transplant teams' clinical decision-making. Founder Meireles, a computational biologist with biotech experience, started Immunomatics after facing donor-selection uncertainty as a blood stem cell recipient, with limited tools to choose the lowest-risk donor.

The company has received a $207,740 NIH SBIR Phase I award to advance its technology and is collaborating with the UC San Diego Transplantation Lab. Immunomatics is now working to expand its clinical data, validate its models, advance its regulatory strategy, and prepare its technology for future clinical use.

The Myosotis investment and Mulder's appointment as Strategic Advisor add to Immunomatics' growing momentum as the company raises capital to accelerate validation and commercialization of its technology. Immunomatics is also conducting an equity crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder, offering individual investors the opportunity to invest in the company.
